2018 US Open Virtual Experience
Tools: Unity / Duration: 3 months / Team size: 7 / Roles: Experience Design, 3D Modeling
Official experience description:
Deloitte and the USGA collaborated to bring fans even closer to golf's ultimate test through a Deloitte Digital-designed interactive virtual reality (VR) experience.
The technology provided fans with an immersive, 360-degree perspective on the rich history of the championship and the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, which has hosted U.S. Opens across three centuries.
Fans could choose from multiple VR experiences including a first-person perspective view of Corey Pavin's shots on the 18th hole as he clinched his 1995 U.S. Open win at Shinnecock, or a virtual tour of the iconic Trophy Room in Shinnecock's clubhouse.
